Desk hop

Work laptop cannot email a 180 MB dump. We do not host the file. Two $0 paths: split into parts that fit Gmail, or a live WebRTC hop that needs both tabs open.

The snippet that generated a 4-digit code and “uploaded to RAM” never left this tab. A Cloudflare R2 locker is a different company: abuse, CSAM, bandwidth. We refused it. Public STUN (stun.l.google.com) is leftover EXTERNAL — NAT punch only, not storage. No TURN. Corp firewalls often fail. 4-digit codes are 10,000 guesses. We use a full SDP paste instead.

Path A — email-safe parts (the one that actually ships)

Largest size we will stand behind in this tab: 2 GB. Chrome’s Blob constructor OOMs around 2–4 GB. Split streams by File.slice. Reassemble of >2 GB belongs in Explorer.

Email attachments are base64’d in transit (~4/3 size). A published 25 MB cap is about 18 MB of raw file. Default is 18 MB. Unknown corporate recipient: 10 MB. Live hop uses 16 KiB WebRTC messages — the only size every browser treats the same.
