What types of database Veloce works with

VeloceDB is the database. Applications do not sit on MySQL or SQL Server underneath it. You install a workgroup engine, then connect with ODBC, JDBC, or the CLI — plus optional PostgreSQL beside it.

Native workgroup

Tachyon ISAM with classic status codes. Wire family TCP 1583. Files are unencumbered .spv / .cmm.

SQL clients

ODBC, JDBC, and the veloce CLI on TCP 2143. Dialect covers SELECT, JOIN, DDL, and transactions.

Postgres is optional

Checkpoints and pgvector can ride a Postgres sidecar. The workgroup engine does not require Postgres, MySQL, Oracle, or SQL Server to run.
